My cousin posted this on her Instagram account and it stuck with me. If Covid has thought me anything it is to look for the positive in everyday and to grow where you are planted.
My family owns two guesthouses in Pretoria and to put it simple, we placed all our eggs in the hospitality basket. Little Bs Bubble Tea is my attempt at creating a second income for our household and to "separate" my eggs a bit. It is also a way of creating work for some of our staff members that have been placed on layoff due to the devastating affects of lockdown on our economy.
BUT, Mr Ramaphosa made a call to all of us "Thuma Mina" His message was that we all need to help to rebuild our economy. Mr President, here is my attempt. "Send Me"
I get great joy from meeting people at the different markets and chatting to them. I get great joy in creating an income for our staff that are like family. I get great joy from drinking bubble tea.
Come say hello. Keep an eye out on our events page for updates of where we will pop up next and remember:
'Grow where you are planted
